As you might already know, our hotel opened in 1947. And did you know how it all started? Imagine a beautiful Mallorca 77 years ago. At that time, only two rooms surrounded what today is still one of the most emblematic areas of the hotel: the round lounge.
For the young couple who ran the hotel, Ana and Asensio, it was not easy. The access to Cala Fornells was complicated and we remember it with anecdotes such as the great
snowfall of 1956, which completely isolated the Hotel and Asensio took some clients with a rowboat to Paguera so that they could reach the airport and did not miss the flight. And of
course we would do it for you today.
Because staying at the Hotel Cala Fornells means becoming a member of the family. We keep applying the same values about hospitality that my grandparents started with, with a constant effort to update ourselves without losing the essence, everything to ensure that your holidays are unforgettable.

There is no better way to start the day than with a good breakfast. Our breakfast buffet is characterized by its wide variety of seasonal Mediterranean products, which vary depending on the time of year. You can find a variety of juices, local and national cheeses and meats, sweet and salty pastries, fruit and eggs or other warm dishes.
At night, dine at our restaurant. Our evening menu changes every day and is made up of a buffet with starters and deserts, and a menu of main courses to choose of, to complete a gastronomic experience where homemade Mediterranean cuisine predominates. In addition, you have the option to choose à la carte dishes or just buffet if you do not want the full menu.

We aim to be as responsible as possible with our environment. Nature is part of Mallorca beauty and we are making an effort to transform onto more sustainable working methods. What are we doing to implement this?
SOLAR PANELS
We have 73 solar panels that allow us to take advantage of the 360 sunny days a year that our island offers us. This project has only just begun and we keep working on expanding the use of renewable energy.
ELECTRIC CHARGERS
In our car park you will find four charging stations for electric vehicles. We try to facilitate and support sustainable transport and, in addition, we will soon incorporate an electric mini van for our shuttle service to Peguera
AMENITIES
All the soaps that you will find in the bathroom of your room are made by a Majorcan company specialized in sustainable natural cosmetics. The content is 100% ecológical and made with local products from the island, and the packaging is 100% reusable.
RECYCLED BOTTLES
We are removing all one use plastics. As it wouldn’t be safe for the beach or the swimming pool, we can’t offer only glass bottles. However, we changed from plastic to 100% recycled plastic bottles.
PAPER STRAWS
We believe that all drinks taste better without a straw. But in case you want to ask forone, we have paper straws.

DIGITIZED WORK
We implemented a new informatics system to make sure we don’t print unless it is really necessary. During check in or check out, you can get all the information per email.
